Located on the south west corner of the Hauraki Gulf at the entrance of the Waitemata harbour, the camera pans from East to South to West. It takes in views of southern areas of the gulf including Maungauika volcano (North Head), Bean Rock, Motukorea Volcano (Browns Island), Tamaki Strait, Torpedo Bay, St Heliers Bay, Mission Bay, East and Central Auckland. A partial view of the Rangitoto Volcano with distant views of the Coromandel ranges and Firth of Thames.

Scheduled 200° 16 minute panning tour commences at the start of every hour from 5am to 10pm daily.

During periods of interesting weather, marine wildlife or marine activities, the camera will pan to the area of heightened activity, day or night.
