Rare quake to the south west of the Auckland Volcanic Field

A rare magnitude 1.7 microquake this morning at 7:26am just to the south west of Auckland Volcanic Field in the Tasman. It's in the same location as the magnitude 4.0 earthquake that was triggered on 23rd January 1956. Its only the 3rd earthquake that has been recorded in that location by GeoNet.
