Waterspout touch down in the gulf

Writer's picture: EarthlingEarthling

A waterspout touched down into the Gulf this morning off Orewa with the sunrise making the funnel glisten. Waterspouts are more common during late Autumn when the water temperature in still warm and a colder upper atmosphere arrives but they can occur all year round.
